Senior Designer
In 2000 Nelson joined architectural lighting firm Domingo Gonzalez Associates, where he worked on projects ranging from transportation facilities, corporate offices, bridges, monuments, schools, theatres, museums, community centers, parks and private residences. He was promoted to Associate in 2004 and remained on staff with DGA until 2006. Notable DGA projects he was involved with include the Jamaica Station Terminal (PANYNJ), Stillwell Avenue Station (NYCT), East Side Access (LIRR), Chambers Street Station (NYCT), Smith & 9th Street Station (NYCT), JFK Light Rail System (PANYNJ), 2nd Avenue Subway (NYCT), WTC Temporary PATH Station (PANYNJ), Dulles Corridor Metro Rail-Airport Station (WMATA), George Washington Bridge Towers (PANYNJ), Holland Tunnel Vent Building (PANYNJ), Washington Square Arch (NYCDPR), Judiciary Square Plaza & Façade Lighting (DC Courts), Hudson River Park-Segment 4 (HRPT), Jackson Avenue Streetscape (NYCEDC), Sutphin Blvd Retail Concourse (GJDC), New York Botanical Gardens Visitor Center-Bronx (NYBG), Bronx Central Library (NYPL), Chelsea Recreation Center (NYCDPR), the Bronxdale Community Center (NYCHA), IS/HS 362X (NYCSCA), Dwight Englewood School-Auditorium, and the Cardozo School of Law (Yeshiva University).East Side Access, Judiciary Square and the Cardozo School of Law. Nelson joined Lumen Architecture in 2007.
Additionally, Nelson continues to design for the stage with companies such as the Aynsley Vandenbroucke Movement Group. He is Lighting Certified and a member of IESNA.
